Arroyo Hondo is a small, unincorporated community located in Taos County, New Mexico, in the United States. It is situated approximately 8 miles (13 km) south of the town of Taos. The population of Arroyo Hondo is around 1,000 people, according to the 2010 Census.
The village is known for its historic adobe buildings and traditional farming community. It is also home to the San Francisco de Asis Church, a famous landmark in the region that dates back to the 18th century, it was also featured in several paintings by Georgia O'Keeffe.
